Work:
Interim Ministry specialist, Hospice chaplain, Film/TV production. Worship and preaching are the foundation of my energy for interim ministry. I strive to create an experience in worship that leads the church to add their own chapter to the old, old story of Jesus and his love. This gift of transitional ministry, this freedom to try new things, to experiment with our response to God’s invitation, inspires me to a sense of adventure and fun I hope is contagious.
Before ordination, I worked for Cox Cable Communications and in the film/tv industry.
People:
I live with my wife, who shaped my inexplicable grasp of the meaning of the “trinity.” Experiencing a soul-mate has been the spiritual ground that anchors my faith in God. I also had the blessing of an earlier loving marriage, albeit one that ended far from where it began. Our children have been the revealers of both spiritual truth and spiritual challenges in my journey, helping me see as a child and forcing me to face my theology on its most practical terms.
I enjoy regular visits with family and friends. I often reflect on public school teachers who have impacted me. Aunts and uncles have often been amazing influences. Co-workers in any of the fields I have worked offered great moments for growth and reflection.
But it is my mom and dad and brother who have left the deepest impressions on my life. From the fun hobbies and memories to the deep spiritual dialogues (and maybe more than a few passionate arguments) to the simplest acts of love, they are my life-long core.
For Fun:
UGA football, ebikes, genealogy, and discussing/reading anything religion & politics, space or science. But my favorite subjects are wholly dependent on what the grandkids are into at the moment!
